the government has also substantially increased the

total surplus now disclosed. If allowance be made

for these factors, the surpluses at the two dates

are found to be consistent, and thus establish the

validity of each of the Valuations and Results.

I present this Report at once: the calcu- lations for the distribution of the $109,404,

terms of Section 18 of Ordinance No.15 of 1908, are

in rapid progress, and shall be despatched, with

instructions, without delay. I might here add that

the individual allotments should take effect ra-

trospectively, that is to say, from and after the

31st of December, 1908.

The shares of Surplus apportioned to the

several entitled members will be computed in pro-

portion to the calculated values of their interests

in the Fund.

I am also preparing a Table for the whatim Commandation of Widows' Pensions, with brief Rules

for its application.
